Software > Wellness ERP System > 102.2 - Products DB (PSOPs)
The "Products Database". One of the core data tables/databases of all Business systems... but wait.. what if I sell services!? The technologist's nightmare starts from step one with the required "Products Database".
Technologists typically prefer have verbiage and nomenclature that reflects the data -- that is important because things will only get more complex as the data starts to morph, and if you start with bad nomenclature, it only gets worse fast.
For this reason, we have decided to call our "Products Database" a "PSOPs Database"

PSOPs
PSOPs is pronounced "sops"
PSOPs refers to a data table or database that contains Products and/or Services and/or individual records that represent a combination of a product and a service for a single fee.
We can justify the PSOPs acronym one of two ways. Pick whichever you prefer!
In a relational database application I'd use the nomenclature psopID or psop_ID for my primary key. In these google sheets, it's all a lot different, but we've decided to still use the nomenclature for the file name and the tabs so we always have something that applies no matter the application.

- PSOPs stands for Products, Services Or Packages (with packages being a combo of products and services)

1 - PSOPs Data Table
This database currently has 561 items in it. We have 5 different product families from three vendors (one of which is the practitioner). We have vendor specific services.
2 - PSOP Lookup
This lookup system was similar to that shown on the Patients DB. It has an "edit link" which will take you to this record in the data table for editing purposes.
You'll notice the image above indicates there are rows hidden at the top of the page. The lookup functionality is built into the "Hidden Header" portion of this page (as was introduced in the Patients module. Here's a view of this hidden header.
There is script associated with the edit link that is not shown
3 - Product Descriptions Utility
This utility is used to provide brief but insightful information about a list of products. If someone is new to clinical nutrition, their protocol is pasted into this page from the Point of Sale System or the Nutrition worksheet, and then this page is printed for their reference.
