RE: Welcome Letter
Dear Reader:
The DIY Software Club has been an evolving thought with some decent form for the past few years.
It's been an informal thought for the past few decades.
The roll-out strategy was a mystery to all until just a few short days ago when it was determined that the launch for data independent solutions is going to start with Google Drive related products, and all software templates related to this conversion wave will be going out for free, for life.
Most folks paying attention now realize that human data is the most profitable and sought after commodity on the planet. Even more so than human energy. Much of the value is tied to the mined information that can be paid for by the 1% who want to move masses and Mother Earth in unhealthy ways.
A logical way to counter such a force is to provide data independent*, open source software solutions that allow folks to check their data out-of the structured data mining industry as much as possible. With this, the world becomes a more balanced place one independent data creator at a time.

* - To be clear, with DIYT Software solutions created with our methodologies, you will be entering your data into Google's cloud based spreadsheets or using google based spreadsheet templates as a model for your own spreadsheet based solutions or similar. Some may think initially that is like hopping from the frying pan into the fire, but it's not once you get the gist of structured data silos vs non-structured silos.
All data transmitted and stored these days is subject to eavesdropping, unfortunately. BUT, when data from thousands or millions of similarly engaged individuals is stored in a massively organized data structure as part of Software As A Service offering, it can all be mined by the Software Vendor and those they sell access to for a macro view on commerce, government and the world that would shock most. Such Software As A Service systems (SAAS Systems) give the data owners and their nefarious buyers information on society that is well beyond the control of democracy or any other healthy governing system for that matter. And THAT makes for massive problems locally, regionally, nationally, globally, and beyond. And this is why data has become so valuable. Google's database storage system is called Big Table. Most other companies rely on an Oracle. Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL database. Google developed this for themselves. From a visual modelling perspective, it stores data in cells and it can see what's in those cells, but there's a lot less insight as to what that data is about, given it's not formally labelled. There's also a lot less insight related to how all your cells are working together than is the case in a more structured relational database where a vendor defines a field, and you fill it in with very specific context. For example, Google may know if I've typed "Quickbooks" into a spreadsheet cell, but they have no idea if it was because I had interest in it, because I wanted to look up articles about their manipulative pricing practices, or if it was because I was drawing a bulls-eye around that company for target practice. Without associating data with intentions nearly as clearly, the data mining systems that make all the data so valuable in non-google style storage systems will quickly devalue as users depart formatted data systems in droves. |
In addition to Software-As-A-Service vendors who have relied on what some thought was a revenue stream into perpetuity, the database software industry should be affected by this as well. While this should affect vendors of services to individuals and small businesses most, eventually, software vendors for large businesses and utilities will likely be affected too.
We also expect to affect the elementary, middle and high school education systems. We expect to reduce and/or eliminate costly printed text books and licensed materials that have been used to teach technology in a poor way for the past few decades.
We expect to affect the junior college and college educational systems and related educational publishing industry for IT information.
We expect to affect the closed loop venture capital (vulture capital) system in Silicon Valley that has been operating in an extremely unhealthy manner for decades.
We expect to affect all who are overcharging for scripting and programming education.
We expect to affect individuals who have been deviantly confusing people new to technology with misdirected programming information in chat rooms, forums and blog posts since the early 2000's. ( the fake news group wasn't limited to geopolitical work... )
We expect to affect third world education and organization in amazing ways.
And we expect to affect a lot more, one silly little software template at a time.
Most who have been overly successful in the IT world in the past 30 years have said they're greatest fear was the unknown 16 year old in his garage thinking up the next best thing.
That's never really been a concern for us.
We've all just been wondering when the Giant but Silent Adults with Hearts of Children and Passion of Kings were going to step out of the shadows.
And what do you know?
Looks like the latter are starting to materialize in packs and droves -- A very fine site indeed.
Below is a link to the DIY Software Club Handbook.
- DIY Software Club Book Series (contained on the Technical > Documents page)
- This Book Series is free and mandatory reading to be a part of the club. It's not finished yet, but it's getting close, so now might be a good time to start reading. (11/18/2019).
- If you read it, you are part of the Club. No registration fees. No membership fees. No lists of any kind to be hacked.
- Nobody but you and those you discuss the information with will even know you've read a thing, unless you yourself speak out about it, which we hope some will do, but respect the privacy of others who can't or won't for one good reason or another.
Below is a list of the software templates we expect to make public over the coming years. These will be free. No strings attached. No emails to register. No code libraries outside of your Google Account. Nothing that binds you to us. Nothing but knowledge that is.
Each of these modules can be a stand alone application. In addition, these modules can be tied together to create modular, enterprise level back office business systems for individuals, small businesses and maybe some larger businesses too. All of these have been prototyped and gone through functional testing to one degree or another.
Full Modules

|
Smaller Utilities
- Admin day procedural checklist
- Check processing and Deposit Worksheet Creation with a cash drawer management component
- Organized Shopping List Utility (that is going to be a HUGE HIT. Really, it will be!)
- Twitter Address book
- and more...
NOTE about gMail accounts vs gSuite Accounts -- Ideally, all of these will be used in conjunction with a full Google Suite Account although they can work just fine with a Gmail account too if HIPAA is not a requirement and you have no need to formally collaborate with others in more of a business type of setting. Outside of the loss of HIPAA protection, there are only small benefits you will forgo with a gmail account versus a gSuite account and we cover those as part of the Technology Club introduction.
NOTE about The Technology Club -- Also, we offer a suggested Google Account / Google Drive IT setup system based on Best Practices that is not detailed on this website. Most of you will want/need to incorporate to a lesser or greater degree to take advantage of all the google platform features in the more complex modules. These modules blend the spreadsheet template to google drive folders, your email client and more. This Google Account / Google Drive IT Setup is introduced in the Technology Section of the Soul-Proprietor-Guide Website, and the actual instructional and educational material for getting that setup for yourself is sold on the The Technology Club Website.

To be clear, the items listed above are fully functional software template modules and they will be FREE for use, with no registration and no sign up. Most will come pre-loaded with data for easier learning and understanding.
For those of you who will need help to a lessor or greater degree, we are trying to set this all up such that a little money paid to others for teaching or support should go a long ways, in relative terms to where we are today...
Stay tuned to the moon and you can't go wrong.
Talk soon,
DIY Software Club Staff
ps -- there's one more page to check out before checking out!!
- Some of you all will be able to take them and run with them.
- Others will need some help.
- Others will need a lot of help.
- Some of them are extremely complex and almost everyone will need help.
